I had to replace 4 bent valves, a couple of torn valve seals, My comp 987 springs had lost about 15-20lbs so they were shimmed and have 140lbs closed and 340lbs open. Needless to say I am very happy and waiting to see exactly how much HP this combo is gonna laydown on the dynojet. With 4 bent valves the car made 441rwhp @ 6100 401rwtq before the clutch retaining ring snapped and rendered the car undriveable. I did not get a dyno sheet since the clutch broke right at 6150 so top end numbers are still to come.

BTW the new combo added ~.75:1 on the compression ratio

LonSlo:
Considering the cranking compression was down from 230 to 200 from changing cams, I am hoping the combo(Bent valves, higher average CFM intake and exhaust, and getting the compression back to 230) should net more than 20rwhp

Nice numbers!
What valve size and stage?
Those heads would have worked fine with a cam around .560 lift. Did you happen to flow with the intake on?
cheers,
Chris

who is your engine guy?, 313 cfm at 600 lift is what mti is getting on there stg2 ls6 heads with a 2.055 valve, Im seriuosly having a hard time believing that your 5.3l's are flowing that much, but if you say so, you are going to have a very good running motor
