c5z's are good for about 350rwhp some more some less and i believe the ls2 vettes are good for about the same, the ls3 vettes are good for like 380 or more.

Not a guess, a fact. One of mine was 352, the other 364 STOCK down to the air filter. General loss is 12.5% in drivetrain.

350-360rwhp same for the LS2. The Z06 is more hardcore than the LS2 vette. Lots of Z06 guys traded up when the new Z51s came out in 05 and weren't happy.

I just had my Z28 tuned today, stock internal with full exhuast and intake and it put down 381 thru my M6. The tuner said the engine usually puts down between 360 and 380 thru a manual trans. PM me your email if you want a scan of the sheet.

My LS6 made 402rwhp with FAST90, EWP, Kooks 1 3/4, aluminum flywheel, and a tune.

Sounds like someone was pwned during an encounter on the street. Horsepower means nothing, power to weight everything.

never heard this, it's a 6.0l compared to a 5.7 with the same heads

other factor, cam specs:
LS2
Int:204° .525 in
Exh:211° .525 in
Same exact cam profile as the LS3, LS3 has more lift on the intake side though.

02-04 LS6
Int:204° .551 in
Exh:218° .547 in

If there was a difference the addition of a few cubes would make up for it in low end torque. People just always look at top end instead of the whole picture. An 05 z51 felt stronger to me than an 02 Z06 that I had driven. Think the difference between the cars is about 100 lbs. There for performance level should be about the same.

They are similar in power, but the C5Z edges it out slightly.

Anywhere from 350 to 365rwhp is observed.

The Z51 is not the race car that the Z06 is. I think that was the let down. Also the LS2 cam is the 01 LS6 cam.

In CTSV world the LS2 usually makes around the same hp little more torque down low, but responds to mods better than the LS6.

There is a gearing difference in the transmissions for the two so a zo6 would outrun a ls2 c6.

Stock vs. stock, the C5Z beats the LS2 in everything. The LS3s are better than the LS2, but still aren't as fast as the C5Z (average times) in the 1/4. If you are talking about a road course, the C5Z takes even a larger lead. Modding is a different story obviously. I am into auto-x and road racing, so 1/4-mile doesn't mean much to me.
