I would think high 10's, but low 11's first time out. Dyno #'s should be between 430 to 450rwhp..

I don't think you will gain that much. I ran a 11.70 @ 115 1.60 60' cam only in the fall. It was a small cam also. Anyway with a big cam, heads and the stroker, I cam only muster up a best of 11.59 @ 116 in the heat 3500' DA. My 60' times are off as well. I should hit 11.00 - 10.9x's in the fall providing I can get traction. Since he already has heads, you may loose a couple tenths with the stroker and a bigger cam but I would seriuous doubt 8/10's unless other mods were done as well.

Thanks guys, I am expecting a low 11, hopefully....maybe with some major weight reduction...thinking of going with 4400YTP and some 4.10s to get 10's I am not sure what my dyno was, but I am going to go find out tomorrow, is 420 ish sound to low for a A4 TA?

A 382 would work great in your A4.I would keep the Vig for now since the stroker will yield more torque.

I wuld say at the track with good traction (et streets, skinnies, etc.), I would imagine you being about .3 faster. The stroker is great on teh street where the torque can make up for less than great starts. Cam'head cars are nearly as fast as strokers at the track from what I can see. I have beat a couple of cam/head cars around here (never lost to a cam head car actually). But when traction is perfect and the rpm's are way up, there isnt that much difference. I like the fact that I can use 3.23gears, DR's, and a mild converter with an auto and nudge out big head/cam cars with 4.10, stick, and ET strets. A stroker definately makes for a more drivable car.

I plan to do the 392ci all bore by MTI and hope to run mid to high 10s. Jayson says it is better for drag racing than a stroker. I have raced two stroker cars and beat both.

Also, my previous MTI all-bore 382ci (first all-bore LS1 ever built) was the best all-around engine I've ever owned. Drove great, raced great, and got 24 mpg on the highway. I sold it to a Doctor who put it into his C5 and he put over 40K miles on it the first year alone. Pretty cool!

Tony, what were your track times on the 382?

Sounds like a great engine combination!
