Default cometic head gasket

are the cometic MLS head gaskest reuseable? i would guess that they would be since they aren't paper ones that i have used on a 350, but it's better to ask before hand.

Its a matter of opinion. Call Cometic and ask them. Their MLS comes with a coating that is activated by heat. My guess is they will say no, you cant- re-use it. A GM MLS might be different. Want to know for sure, call the MFG of the gasket your using. Most of the time on here people dont follow the MFG instructions, they make up their own mind they know whats best and because it worked for them they recommned it. I always follow the MFG instructions for their product.

According to cometic, no they are not reusable. Although some people have gotten away with it. Your choice really.

I built a motor for a guy last year and reused his cometics and didnt have the first issue. I would reccomend using some copper sealant spray on them before reusing.

I've reused mine twice so far with copper sealant sprayed on both sides. No problems.....yet.
