Default Cam only swap C5 Auto.

Funny I forgot to talk about this here..

My father has a 2000 C5 convertible and I currently work at a custom cam shop and am able the get cams ground pretty cheap.

His car has about 35,000 on it and he commonly drives it cross country. Thought I would run this set-up by you guys, to see if this type of set-up would effect mileage at all or have other issues?

Will be having it tuned after install will this be able to be driven 200-300 miles from his place to my tuners?

Cam is a 224/230 .595/.595 113 LSA

Plan also on doing PSI 1511 springs and Trend push rods with the cam install.

May also do a LS2 or true roller timing set.

I'm hoping it will leave a little room for growing, maybe a stall, headers ,243 heads and LS6 intake down the road.

Thanks in advance,
Chad

I am running that cam on XFI lobes (.609/.604) in my C5. It seems to have a good little bump in power over the typical XER stuff.

Did you install it straight up, or advance it some?
