The engine is back in my TA, have 2 questions
Well after a few months of waiting the engine has gone back in my TA today.
I had cnc ported and valve job ls6 heads matched, with a TR224 112lsa, new timing chain, ported oil pump, underdrive pulley and port and polished TB installed.
1. The only part on the heads I did not replace was the rocker arms, just used the stock ones. Was this a bad thing?
2. The car is going in for a dyno tune next week. Will I need to have the crank position relearned on the car and is it bad to drive the car with out a tune done.
Thanks for any anwsers.
BTW If anyone is running the same set up as me what are you running the quarter mile in? I was hoping for high 11's

i can only answer the first question.
the old rockers are great, they are fine to re-use.
that tr224 cam is a fast ramp cam and dose not need the use of 1.8 rocker.
as for the 2nd question.. I dont know, but someone on here will.

1. No, stock rockers work fine.
2. Cant hurt since you swapped the cam. Relearn takes about 10 seconds to do anyway, very simple. Driving a 224 cam untuned is no big deal, the fuel trims will compensate for any variances.

Thanks, The last time I had the relearn done I just had the transmission place across the street do it for me for free. Guess I will hit them first thursday and the dyno next week. I thought I could reuse the rockers but got a little worried when the shop asked me where the new rockers were at since I replaced everything on the top end of the engine. I will post numbers after the dyno.
