Patriot stg 3 Ls6 heads. What HP loss?
Ok. I understand that If I run the stage 3 head with 2.08 1.60 valves on a 3.906 bore with a 383 that I will have valve shrouding issues. My question is comparing to the stage II which is 2.055 and 1.57 valves, If i use the stage 3 heads which have 2.08 intake valves, on my 383, will I make LESS horsepower than if I was to use the stage II ls6 heads. Will I make the same, meaning bigger valve but more valve shrouding evening out to the stage 2 horsepower? Will I make less horsepower using the stage 3 than I would using the stage 2 head?
Factors: using a 250's duration at .050 cam with a 640's lift.
Factors:Might be changing to an iron block anyways later, but not this year.
Any help would be appreciated. Dyno numbers two with a 383
