Do us all a favor and use the search function...there are a lot of posts about this exact topic, thus eliminating the need for this new thread.

Not only search, but look in the correct forum. Try the "External" Forum. I would post a newbie smiley for you, but I'm to lazy to search on how to post one.

Ha Ha...true. I've read several other post and the only things that are consistent are:

1. No one knows when it will be released
2. No one knows how much power it will make
3. But we will take your money for pre-orders

don't you think that if the information was out there, it would be posted on those threads first? no one knew six months ago... and guess what, it hasn't changed.

All right, I did a search on google and the streetwarrior is out on speedinc.com. Now if its on back order or not, couldnt tell you. you all do that research. But it said that it was for the LS1 and LS2 and it had the cathedral ports. and the rectangle ports, it said to check back soon. It also gave a ETA of july 2008. which we are in july sooo hopefully they have it. It priced at $599. for ***** and giggles, i went through with the purchase and check out to see if there was any notes on the product (i.e. back order, sold out, etc, etc) but it said nothing. Heres the link:

Dont flame at this post, just take it with a grain of salt!

Now the FAST intake is going to have to drop in price.

I hear that bro. $200+ cheaper and performs pretty damn close to it, I'd buy it!

While at the vette cruise in back in May I had an opportunity to take a tour of the Holley plant. I was told not to look for this intake to be out until September. This came from someone who has done some R&D on the intake. They are trying to tweek it a bit to compete better with the FAST. Right now the Weiand and FAST cross at about 5800 rpm, they are trying to extend that out a bit.

I seriously doubt the Fast intake will go down in price.

I highly doubt the FAST would go down in price either. Thats like saying the sheetmetal intakes will go down in price aswell.

They all have their niche. The Street Warrior is just that, a street peice, the FAST is the street/strip and the sheetmetal is strip..so to speak.

What I wanna see is how well a stock LS6 intake does against the Street Warrior. Which is only about 300$ for one of those.

So again it comes down to, if youre gonna nickle and dime ****, might aswell go with an LS6 intake as usual.

Otherwise if you want the most you can get, then you buy it once and do it right and get the FAST.

It might not have a choice if this intake outperforms the fast

the street warrior is supposed make 15 hp more than the fast across the rpm range. now im not saying that is true, but that is what is claimed. and everyone knows the fast isnt a perfect intake either. the street warrior is supposed to be a direct replacement, the fast is not. thats why they have the retarted map sensor location

I heard you'll see gains of up to 100+ hp to the rear wheels with this new intake...

jesus Has the LS1 community become so disgusted with the way overpriced FAST that they are willing to sit and wait for something that may or may not be a competitor?
Well I am.
Hey FAST, IF this thing performs well, IF it ever is released...you are screwed.

Remember when Proffesional Products started to hint about their new intake and how it was going to be a 90+mm and would be priced close to the same as the LS6???? Where is it now. I bet on this entire board less than 10 people are running it, guess why.

Until consumers get their hands on this, and we have reproducible results, all of this is pure speculation. It doesn't help that they have delayed the release multiple times either.
