Default Anyone running probe pistons?

Are any of you guys running probe pistons with boost? I have no experience with probe, I always run Mahle, or JE. Everyone I talk to around hear says the probes are garbage, but I personally have never even seen one. Im in a time jam, and probe has the piston I need. Im really picky about my pistons, so should I order them, or will I be pissed off? Mahle says 200.00 each and 12 weeks to build the piston I want. Any information on your experience with the probe pistons will be appreciated good or bad. Thanks, J

I have them in a cadillac motor with a 250 shot, they are very nice pistons.

2618 material, look just like the other brands you mentioned...I don't see why people would say they are garbage. I plan to run a set in a 6.0L motor soon too.

I have just taken Probe out of my motor to renew block/pistons due to outrageous oil consumption, the skirts were really short and the pistons seemed to rock a hell of alot. The bores were not that bad at all, i never really got to the bottom of why it used so much, i am using Mahle in the new build.

It's hard to hear anything out of the normal with a MS3 and a carb

Not to mention the exhaust that is turned out under the front seats

Nothing wrong with Probe Pistons. The are popular with the Ford guys. My last 347 made over 750rwhp using probe pistons at 9:1 comp. without a flinch.
