Default Z06 CAM

What are the specs of a Z06?
How would it do in an LS1?

What is the next best aftermarket, (Smooth to mild idle)

Look at MTI's Stealth cam. Nice.

For the ZO6, look at SDPC---->

Z06 204/218 Duration .551/.547 117
LPE GT2 207/220 .573/.580 117.5LSA
Comp 212/218 .558/.563 115LSA.
MTI 220/220 .581/.581 115
TR Old man Cam 215/220 .600/.523 115 -2LSA
TR Old Man Cam 2 215/220 .602/.602 115-2 LSA

Comp also has a Z06 cam replacement, I don't have the exact numbers. But I would recommend one of the two TR cams... I like the OMC 2.

I checked SDPC on the ZO6 Cam. They got a Z06 CAM KIT that comes with Cam/springs/retainers/guides/pushrods/roller chain/ gaskets and seals etc... All for $580 or so.
That swap should give me around 320-330 rwhp stock.
Do you think I can get close to 400rwhp with all my other mods (Not counting N2O)???

I don't think so. Not with LS1 heads and shorty headers. Also, A4 with stall won't make big dyno numbers.

I'ld say 350 to 360 is where you'll end up.

stall shouldn't matter if its locked... which it should be to get accurate numbers... but without longtubes, or even macs, u probably won't get more than 360

I made 352 RWHP with my 2002 A4 with the '02 LS6 cam, probably a little higher now since the motor is broken in (dyno'd with the LS6 cam at 1100 miles on the car). It would be very difficult and require a very good set of heads with long tube headers and all the bolt ons to even come close to 400 RWHP with that cam, and I highly doubt you could get there.

I'm already making 347.6 rwhp (before the 3:73's,probably a little less now), so your talking about +(20\30)rwhp with the Z06 cam, Hmmm maybe the MTI Stealth would be better then.
Any other feedback please!!

The only cars I've seen dyno graphs show 400rwhp with an LS6 cam were Z06 Vettes with LS6 heads and every bolt on. I think it would very hard to do with an A4

Yeah you guys are right! After reading some MTI Dyno runs on the Stealth with similar mods (Close to anyway). I think I might pull off 380rwhp with ASP pulley and MTI tune.
Heck for the time being with N2O, I will be in the 460\480 range. That should be good till next Spring.
Enough to kill a couple of Cobras anyway (Not to mention my 10 bolt LOL)
Thanks for the feedback Ya'all
