Default Question About the rear of LQ9 Block ?

Hi Guys

On the rear of an LQ9 block . Does the back cam oil galleries have to be machined out ?

The Lq9 doesn't have the 2 oil galleries area connected like the LS1 and LS2s .

This is a pic of the area in question on an LS2 .

Do I machine it or leave it ?

The cover connects the two sides from the factory, but I have been worried about volume and cut a small passage in the past.

Ive been wondering the same thing myself, and also doing a lil cleanup on the front crossover "behind the cam plate" . I would think it would help.....

Thats right

There is a 5mm groove machined into the cover .
Is this going to be sufficent ?

The LS2 above has a 10mm groove machined into the block ,

Should I do the same for the LQ9 is the question ?
