Default Broke oil sending unit...hurray

cool i broke it. snapped right off....the whole thing. so i know you need a socket tool to put the new one back on. just wondering how to do it. i know it screws in but when i look on mine i still have plastic in the hole on the unit. its just a tiny bit, but i imagine that i cant screw the new one on with plastic down in there thats in the way. any thoughts?

The plastic is just the inside part of the sender. The outside part, that screws in, is metal. When you unscrew it, you will see what I mean.

o riley sales a socket just for that. I found it easy to replace buy removing the coil packs and brake booster with the intake on. With the intake off is 100 times easy but I leave the socket on untill I set the intake back on the heads to make sure I dont break the sending unit again.
