Default Thoughts on TEA stage 2 ls6 heads.

Thinking about getting a set of the TEA stage 2 ls6 heads and was wanting some thoughts on them. I'm looking at running a cam that's around the same size as a vindicator. I figured this heads and cam combo with a ported 90mm fast and kooks lt's should make 450+ in a six speed 12 bolt car. Am I close or way off?

i am on the fence between selling my ls6 heads and buying TEA tricks or just sticking with what i have and getting TEA to do a stage II job on my ls6 heads. i will probably go with the stage II ls6's so i dont have to worry about special rockers ect... let me know what you decide and if you are happy with the power!
i want to see some track times with a decent cam and stage II TEA's

TEA blows most of the other cnc'd stock casting stuff on this board out of the water.

I have a brand new set from TEA. Stage 2 LS6 243s with Ferrea 2.04" int & using the stock 1.55" exh valve which actually flowed better than the 1.575" valve listed on their website. These are brand new castings that were CNCd and never been bolted on. Have the flow sheet to go with them and they flowed 322.7 int @ .600" & 262.6 exh @ .600". TEA charges $1320.00 to port your supplied castings, or $1699.00 for their supplied new castings.

Price is $1250.00 firm if anyone is interested. I have pics of the heads & flowsheet.

Man if you were 5 days sooner I would have got them, I just got some from TEA and they started on them yesterday. I did not know the smaller exhaust valve would flow better tho. As stated before tho these heads do kill some of the other heads from other co's. These flow damn near some TFS 215's!

LS1C5Vette the car in my avatar is sitting in OKC right now. I figured this package would be good for around 475rwhp if you got all the bugs worked out. But I figured I'd get some experts opinions on the setup.

"sheikss" - I am returning your PM. Since I posted these heads in your thread, I will give you first shot on them. I had a couple of other PMs about them also since last night.
Thanks
Floyd

Send me your e-mail addy and I'll shoot you what pics I have. They are absolutely brand new and unused. You will have to supply your own valve springs.

Thanks
Floyd

Why is TEA's porting better than a port done on a PRC head for example ?
Seems like TEA charged an arm and leg for porting.

It's sorta like why do Cartek 500rwhp car runs mid 10's and other shops 500rwhp cars run 11's.

Any other thoughts on what this combo would produce?
