Default Higher oil pressure than usual

After changing my oil i noticed my car idles at 60psi instead of 40psi and is higher when acclerating than it used to be. After driving it for a little it will come down some. I checked the dipstick and its a little above the line but i wouldnt call it overfilled.

I have heard that fresh oil raises the pressure buti'm not sure if this is true?

Any ideas why the sudden change?

Did you go from 5w30 to 10w40 or 20w50? What filter was on it, and which one is on it now?

I would guess you are using a different volocity of oil or a different filter.

I'm going to hope it was a misspelling. Anyways, maybe you used a thicker oil?

same brand and weight as before. I'm really not sure why this happened but it was right after i changed the oil so it has to be something to do with it i would think? anyone experience this before?
