Default harland sharp roller rockers dont work well

I tried putting on my harland sharp roller rockers while installing my headers and ls6 intake awaiting winter to do my heads/cam swap but the 1st couple rockers stopped turnign at 1and 1/4 turns and the back rockers kept turning closer to 2 turns I know I need shims for them but why would 1 cylinder need shims while others do not? imperfection in the stock heads maybe??

thanks

I installed these on my TFS heads, and had no problems. Did you have #2 cylinder @ TDC to start with?

You dont have to have the cylinders at TDC to tighten them!

All you have to do is start the rightside a little then do the left and right and so on. So both sides can get tightened evenly. Then once both bolts are a little tight you torque them down to 22ft lbs. Period!

Goodluck on your install bro!

maybe they're hanging up on the wall of the head? I just installed them on my darts and they fit without a problem but the clearance by the wall is slim!

I believe its slimmer on the 98's and 99's and clearance is better on the 00's and up.
