If they were in a small blast cabinet, like you would use in a small home garage, then it's probably not going to hurt the surface. If it was done by some sort of large commercial blaster, then a resurface might be a good idea. I have a small blast cabinet in my shop and even with fine sand, it wouldn't hurt a set of heads.

to the touch they are very smooth!! We have a realitively small cabinet, but i have never put heads in it. i dont think they are hurt but just wondering. Its like a fast blowoff to kinda clean the dirt off from the looks of it.

if your putting on heads i believe its wise to have them resurfaced so they'll seat good.
i personally didn't do that with my used heads i put on, but if i were to do it again, its just added insurance!

Do you have access to a Profile-meter and a machinist straight edge? That will tell you quick.

If not, then there are also roughness gages that you can compare the surface too to determine what the finish is. I would think you are OK on intake (soft gasket) and exhaust. I would be more concerned with the head gasket but it sounds like you have the covered with the milling, just make sure whoever mills the heads can meet the surface roughness requirements.

I wouldnt bead blast any interal engine parts, that stuff is so hard to get completley cleaned out. pressure wash them for sure-several times. that bead is like super fine sand which is great friction reducer NOT
clean them up good
