Would either of these cams give me a noticeable gain?
Would either of these cams give me a noticeable gain over my TR230/224 .576"/.562" 111 LSA:
Cam A: 231/237 .598"/.595", 112 LSA TSP 231/237
Cam B: 232/240 .595"/.609", 112 LSA LGM G5X2
Would either cam give me a noticeable gain over my 230/224? My heads are TEA S2 5.7s. (I know, ne14a6t9 and others, my heads suck and will never produce any power). Now that we got that out of the way, back to the question at hand. I got some new dyno numbers, and picked up a decent amount, want to see if there is anything left to be gained. A few more HP, and I be right there with the "good head" people. My heads are unmilled, and I already have good springs, retainers, pushrods, timing chain, etc. Valves are 2.02 & 1.55, if it matters. Thanks, Shawn

Either one of those cams would produce a nice gain. From what Ive read like 10+ hp. I was going to switch to the g5-x2 but I am going to try the tr236/230 first. If I get another 10+ from that cam I will be happy. How did you do on that 2nd dyno? LEt us know what you decide to do .

I like cam B also... BUT cam A is on special right now for a pretty cool price when I checked the TSP website.. so that's the one I'll probably end up with. Btw.. (and this is just MY OPINION) the TEA heads seem to do better with a reverse split instead of a traditional one.. so you might be better off with the new TR "monster" reverse split.

If you want cam "B", call me and we can work something out. I will put the cam package on special if there is enough interest.
If you just want the cam alone, $389, but it depends on what springs you have already.
Give me a call and we can figure out what will work with your set up.
Thanks

I HAVE to move up to a larger cam and I'm seriously considering yours. Do you guys offer ANY tuning thru the mail or will I have to make the trek out there? I can deal with small A/F adjustments myself, but I'd require that you guys get the timing and idle really close.
Thanks.

what you can also do is contact TEA and ask them what cam they would recomend with there heads. they usually like reverse splits, I know you have a big reverse split in there now but maybe they can suggest something to get a few more ponies, good luck
p.s. I am on good behavior for I have gotten a final warning from the big bosses, so I wont tell you your heads are no good anymore, good luck I hope you find what your after
