Default cam question

i did a quick search, couldnt find what i needed and the shop workin on my car was closed by the time i got a chance to call so i need yall to help me out......is it a necessity to run 93 octane with a full bolt on/cam ls1 with a dyno tune?

No it is not, It would be nice but not necissary. I can only get 91 where I'm from and that is how my tune was done. If you get 93 in your home town, tune as such. You should only ren 93 if you can get it.

assuming your compression isn't increased. you can tune the computer to run on most grades of gas after a cam. probably even 87.

you'll be sacrificing a little power, but i don't know how much.
