I am replacing the intake manifold gaskets and when i got the intake off, and putting tape over the intake holes on the head, i gust of wind blew a small dried out leaf onto the block and down into the head. unfortunately the intake valve was open so i tried turning the engine over to close it but it had already fallen in. I have been trying to blow it out with air, but to no avail. Would it really be a bad thing to start up? if so any suggestions on what to do. (besides pulling the head off)

Personally I think you'll be fine... it'll get chopped/burned up in the combustion chamber and blow out the tailpipe... it's not like you dropped ball bearings in there

You'll be fine. I've been thinking about burning dead leaves and twigs in my combustion chambers because I can't afford gas anymore.
