2 Q's on H/C swap I'm starting. Plugs and RP stud torque
OK. Starting the disassembly this week. Hoping to get the heads/cam Fridy (heads currently being ported/assembled)
1. Have ARP studs from my last combo installed by TRT (which went out of business). So, looked up the torque specs. Saw 65 and 70ft/lbs using 30wt oil for a lube. So.....which is it? Info appreciated
2. When I took the turbo off the car I asked the local parts store for "stock" plugs. Got NGK TR5's which I gapped to .60. See a lot of people using NGK TR55's. Is there a difference? Will be running poted 243 casting heads (64cc I believe) + a 228/232 .600 111LSA cam. If the current plugs are good, I'll keep them (they are only 2 weeks old)....But, if I should swap to TR55's... now is the time to do it.
Thanks for the input.

I just had my moter out of the car again, and the torque spec's i got with my arp head studs is 85ft pounds with 30wt oil. and 70ft pounds with arp's molly lube. I torqued my heads to 85 pound and haven't had any problems at #10 of boost. I'm runnig ngk TR6's in my blower app. TR55's are hotter and wouldn't be good for your blower app. Spark plug #'s... the lower the # the hotter the plug, so my TR6's are a colder plug than your TR5's
