Necassary upgrades for LS6 cam..? I just bought a LS6 cam off my friend.. i know i need springs.. anyone know a good place to get LS6 springs cheap?
also what other components would i need to upgrade.. only ones that are absolutely neccsary.
do i need the ls6 oil pump? or hardended pushrods?

Re: Necassary upgrades for LS6 cam..? just need springs. Scoggin-Dickey (our GM parts sponsor) should be able to help you out with a set of LS6 springs, or you could always upgrade with the most current recommendation on springs from one of our various sponsors.

car dyno'd 324rwhp stock.. now has MTI lid, and gutted cats.. w/ the z06 cam and the guy thats putting it in is gonna do a street tune.. what kinda power do ya'll think i'll put down.
my friend i'm buying the z06 cam from put down 370rwhp in an auto, but he has all the bolt ons including hooker LT's

Re: Necassary upgrades for LS6 cam..? I was looking into the same mod and I gathered I could get about 30rwhp from the LS6 cam.
What year is yours, 02 has a better grind than 01.
After some post responses a lot of poeple suggested the MTI stealth 220/220
It's better than the LS6 yet still very tame at idle (Sleeeeeper cam)

Re: Necassary upgrades for LS6 cam..? well the thing for me is the 100k mile warranty.. i figure if they ever crack open the engine.. w/ ls6 springs and cam they can't tell.. unless they bust out the measuring tape.. not likely.
