Default Spring/Pushrod Changes-Necessary?

Is it really necessary replace and upgrade the factory valve springs and pushrods while running a mild camshaft? I read up on here and i can see that the guys that are going all out with the cams that rev past 6,000rpms change the springs. Let me know.

The stock valve springs are marginal with the stock cam and some have found valve float as the miles increase, I wouldn't do it.

would you build a new engine and put old rods in it, or a new tranny with worn gears in it? Your factory stuff is only made to be used with the stock cam. The rockers would be the only thing I'd keep, replace the springs and pushrods most of the time the pushrods are a little misformed from normal use and the springs arn't up to snuff with aftermarket lobes on cams. I'm going to replace the lifters as well.

Do it once, do it right.

Yes, it is a very good idea. At the price I offer PAC 1218's you have no reason not to!
Comp Pushrods are $108, PAC 1218's are $155 (shipped).
