Default how to tell if head gasket is leaking?

I just put new heads on my car last nite and am really scared of a head gasket leak, did everything like LS1howto.com told me too, but the whole give the bolts a 180* isn't a settling thought in my mind cause what it one is tighter than the other??? So what should I watch for if i did it wrong??

Bubbles in cooling system or coolant level loss after you purge air pockets from cooling system. TTY isnt best way to go but if you did it right at least you dont have to go back and retorque bolts like you would with head studs.

Check your oil, if it looks like cappucino (frothy) you probably have coolant in the crankcase. A strong sweet coolant smell is generally a bad sign and constant white smoke out the tailpipes can also be a signal that coolant is being burned off in the cylinders.

I wouldn't worry too much. I have had my heads off twice and used the factory TTY bolt with no problems. As long as you don't overheat it you should be in good shape. But as mentioned white smoke is an indicator of a blown head gasket
