I bought mine from Weber Racing. I believe they're still haveing a sale on their CNC'd shortblocks. There are quite a few sponsors that sell quality shortblocks on here for a reasonable price.

LME's website doesn't have much information. What makes them the company of choice?

I'll throw my name into the hat. All my engines are built by Erik Koenig of HKE, if you do a search on HKE you will find nothing but good. I've worked with him to produce my signature series of engines. Built to take the abuse the way a performance engine should.

^^^ HKE is recognized as one of the top LSx builders.

There's no doubt that if I wanted a motor, I'd get it from HKE!

I'll post into this one..

We sell LME built motors, built to my companys specs..
  • Our prices are equivelant to the "High Volume" vendors
  • we ONLY use top shelf parts at rock bottom prices.
  • Our turn around time is just under a month, some engine builders take 2-3 months.
  • Our motors are built by certified machinests and mechanics

But most of all: CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER THE SALE
https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/966279-major-issues-tfs-tea-lme.html

I sell COMPLETE 347 shortblocks using:

NEW GM 2004 LS6 block
Stock Crank
Callies Rods
Wiseco pistons
ARP rod bolts
ARP Main studs
Clevite bearings
Durabond cam bearings
Ported melling pump
Double roller timing set
CUSTOM Cam motion cam
EVERYTHING balanced and blueprinted

3990.00 Outright (No core)
3400.00 with no cam, timing set, or oil pump

ALL of our motors come with a COMPLETE build sheet documenting all specs and clearences.

Let me know if we can be of any assistance.

Jeff

Another vote for Erik@ HKE Racing Engines. I have over 600 passes and no telling how many street miles on our HKE 408. It put down more power than anyone would have expected and lasted longer than the engines my fellow racers are running.

He is currently building us a larger cubed pump gas engine and should get a good bit of attention once it hits the track.

Spend your money wisely

you can buy a Lingenfelter built 383 short block for 4300. One thing you can be sure of everything is 100% right, no bs, no excuses when you buy an engine from them.

I vouch for LME, had multiple motors from them.
Erik Koenig is realy good as well, assuming he builds the motor, quality from HKE.

I'll chime in with a vote for us/Cartek.

We build everything to the highest tolerances and can do so since all of our machine work and assembly is done in house.

Give us a call if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Max
