Question I need some advice Insurance Guys come in

Insurance guys come in, or relating info...

Well Friday morning 8/15/08, it was raining. I run out to start my car.
2 seconds in KAAAAA BOOM, CLACK, CLACK, CLACK, CLACK.....
comes to find out that that (i think) cylinder #6's connecting rod is sticking out the side of my block just above the oil dipstick tube, later that day i found some small pieces of my block in the drive way, i found that the rod punched a clean whole through the block and still stuck in the side and is sealing the oil from draining into my driveway. ?????????
I work for Mercedes Benz, i have seen water damaged blocks, and a lack there of for taking care of an engine and then some.

quick info on the car.

2002 SS M6
84,7?? total current miles
since i have owned it, i put about 9,???miles over a period of 17 months,
TR230 cam swap 4,000ish miles ago.
oil pressure always above 40 psi
headers, ORY.

how the hell does this happen?
everyone i need some help i have full coverage on the vehicle, i believe there is no way that my insurance will cover this.
i am wondering what to do?

anyone have this problem, any help, any advice.
THANKS IN ADVANCE

What RPM do you spin the motor too? And I'm not positive, but I would doubt that insurance would cover something like that.

You either need to put a new engine in it or sell it as roller, insurance won't cover anything. I'll pm you with a few options. Sorry for your loss, it happens from time to time. Rod bolts have been known to let go. Some have good luck with higher rpms on the oem internals others dont. We can get you fixed though and the ARP rods bolts won't let go. Obvioulsy the damage was already done and startup is just when it decided to let go.

Unless somehow coolant or water somehow got in the combustion chamber, it will not compress and the end result is what happened to you. I know if you have full coverage if you ingest water and it destroys your motor they can cover it.

Yeah I would look into the hydro-lock symptoms. Give the insurance deal a shot too.

Tow the car to a really steep hill, roll it down the hill then HIT something like a tree or a brick wall - even yer neighbor's house will do. Tell the insurance folks the engine went at the same time, then they will pay for it. Of course if ya damage it too much they will simply total it out. You'll have to walk that fine line to make it work....
At least thats the way we "do it" in 'Bama.
lol

That doesn't surprise me. I am surprised that you spelled most words correctly though.

I wouldn't think so. How could they prove anything? I've seen cars that have gone in the water while dropping a boat, locking up the motor, and had insurance cover it.
