Cam Timing ??? can i degree my cam with the heads on? when im doing this with the weak check sprigs i get 17 After TDC @ .50 lift when my cam card says 6 before TDC....

Aslong as your not preloading the valve springs for 0 lash, and the lifters not absobing the pushrod/dial indicator setup as you roll it over to .050, it should read close to 6* (+/-) .5* or so. Or cam is ground incorrectly.

hmm im lost cause when its at 0 lash the timing is futher off.. retarded.. but with the rocker torqued down its less.. <-not sure if thats the way to do it but??? I advanced my cam gear 2 teeth and now @ .50 lift im at 0* TDC. that does not seem corect to me for the cam to be that far off..
