Should I be in the clear?
Ok so the engine I'm working with is a 98 ls1. While pulling the cam for a swap I found it had wiped the #1 lobe and lifter.
I replaced the cam, lifter, oil pump, timing chain, pushrods, and springs but did not have the time/money/ability to get machine work at this time to pull the main caps to check those or the cam bearings
got it all back together now and we primed the oil system yesterday with an air pressure tank tapped into the little removeable piece above the oil filter which I tapped for my oil pressure gauge
with the air tank set to 40psi we turned it over by hand for a few minutes until all the rockers got oil flow
does it sound like things are ok? anything else I should check?
