Default Question about oil pans, and windage trays

Hey,

Here's there scenario that I need your help with.

I just purchased a motor that has a truck pan on it. Also with that truck pan it has a truck pickup tube, and windage tray. Anyways here's my question.

A) Will a truck pan fit into an fbody with no fabrication.

B) Can I purchase a new oil pan, and get away with using everything else I have.

C) Should I just buy all new stuff and call it a day.

Thanks all.....Chris

The truck pan does not clear the rack and pinion from what I've read, and it will hang down a whole helluva lot. You have to use the pickup tube and windage tray that is designed for the pan you are using.

yep, you'll have to get a F-body oil pan, windage tray and oil pick up tube

A local mechanic that works on LS1's told me that a truck pan will fit just with minor mod... that to just pound up the k member a bit and it should fit.
