am looking into doing a bigger cam. Did these heads come with the 921 springs or 918 dual springs? i have maybe 6k miles on the current ones and am going from a MTI Stealth II cam to LG g5x2 and was wondering if i really need to change the springs. I cant get a hold of MTI anymore to ask them . I know they came with dual springs. Thanks.

well MTI has done away with performance aspect! but i would shoot david a pm. he goes by poolfanatic. he should be able to help you out with that.

The 918 springs are Comp's single coil, beehive design. If you have dual springs, they should be fine for the G5X2 cam. It wouldn't be a bad idea to pull a spring and have it checked by a machine shop though.

6k is not much for a dual spring. id change it at 20k though.

thanks for all the info guys. i will stick with the duals i have. took me 2.5 yrs to put 6k on the car, so it will be a while before i need to do it.

i have 2e 241 heads on my vette and they came with springs good for 600 lift when I spoke to david

I pm'ed Dave, he said the springs are the 918's that are on there currently, and that re recommends me to change them if i am going with the G5X2 cam.
