White Smoke out of exhaust!!!!
Hey guys so today i was driving around and this civic that clams to walk WS6's pulls up next to me and so we go from a roll and i smoke him by like 4 cars. well i not only smoked him but also my exhaust smoked white. I checked my oil and it is fine... its at the right level and good color. i then checked my coolant level and it was bone dry. I took off my radiator cap after it was cooled and there is plenty of coolant in it. My engine is running fine and at good temp. Any reason why this would happen and what could be wrong?????

Seafoam is a product you can put in your engine (in several places) that will cause the exhaust to smoke white until it's all burned off. It only lasts a few minutes. I think socmguy was being facetious.

I bet shes burning a little oil under acceleration. I had this on my silverado. I started using that high milage Valvoline oil and after about 4 oil changes it stoped burning oil. Have not seen any white smoke under acceleration since. started at 80k have about 118,500 on it now.

These motors have issues with the Valve Seals when you get them hot. The also had issues with the ring lands. a combination of burnning oil and piston slap forced Gm to redisgn there piston and move the ring lands further down the piston. I believe they did this in 02 or 03.... as far as the coolant goes water breaks down over time in the cooling system. esspecially when you run more water then coolant. most people run 50-50
