I was thinking about when i get my LS1 my buddy is a machinist so heres my question. What is the maximum bore of an LS1 block?

.010 is the maximum because it has liners in its aluminum block.

Yea but not worth the money. 005 or just a basic hone on the 97-98 blocks.

You can get an ls2 block from Sdpc or pace parts and get yor buddy to put in a stroker rotating assembly and make it a 402. The only problem with that is by the time you do all that you would've spent the same amount on an already assembled short block. You can get a truck 6.0 iron block and do that like an old school block. My opinion is to put heads and cam and spray it. If you put your combo together correctly it should run mid 10's
