A4 or M6? What gears? Mid to low 8s are pretty common. My car with ONLY gears and a converter went 8.20 (hard to remember...headers came soon after...I want to say it went a little faster).

Assuming A4 and similar weather as the sig time, I'll say 8.4 @ 86

Update! I have finaly put all the parts on and got it tuned. I went to the track tonight and was very suprised by the results!
60ft 1.92
330ft 5.44
594 7.75
1/8ET 8.26
1/8mph 87.37
Could anyone tell me if this is typical? or what would be a good guess for the 1/4. The season is over but im already planning on next year with a 3600 yank and 3:73s.

Since I'm the only one to really guess, I'm going proclaim myself the winner. What's my prize?

Again assuming stuff, but with decent weather and near stock raceweight. It's a good time with that 60'. 3600 yank and some tires and you'll be looking at some 1.6 60's and probably some 7.70s in the 1/8. I would hold off on the gears. Do the stall, try that then if you feel the need, do the gears. That will also let you know what you gained from each mod.

Thats a pretty good 60' for the mods. What kind of tire were you on? I have about the same mods and am also looking at getting a SS3600 and some 3.73's.

That night I was m/t drs and it was around 60 out. I like that idea about waiting on the gears. Arond what time do you think I would run in the 1/4? And when i put the stall in would I really half to worry about the 10 bolt or should it be ok? Thanks

Well your current run would be around a 12.7 in the 1/4. Actually your run doesn't look that far off of my most recent trip to the track

What stall are you looking at? With a good 3600+ stall, you should cut some 1.6s maybe 1.5s. With a 1.6 60' you would probably be around a 12.1 in the 1/4

i was looking at a 3200-3600. Should I half to worry about my rear end that much with a stall or should Ibe ok?

you answered your own question the only way it can really be answered

a good stall won't kill your rearend, you'll be fine

have fun!
