Default O2 sensors

I am putting a new exhaust system on my 98 Z28, LS1 from the headers on back. The cats and "Y" pipe do not have the bungs for the downstream O2 sensors. I have the 2 in the headers (collectors) for the upstream sensors. Would it make much difference or affect the computer if I didn't hook up the downstream sensors? Anyone have any ideas of what I should do? Thanks.

You either need to have the rear o2s tuned out, or get a couple sims to install. Check engine light will stay on if you don't.
