Never like the whine of the Pro-Charger it makes the car sound like it has a bad belt. I don't mine the roots supercharger whine because at idle they are generally a lot quieter and only whine while reving. Blow off valve of a turbo it is nice

Turbo. Hands down. I had a STS on my car (which though slightly inefficient is about the loudest damn turbo setup known to man.) It scared the crap out of the import scene and I had at least 1x positive comment every day I drove the car from people in all makes/models of cars and motorcycles.

My favorite car sounds ever is a roots/twin screw blower, BUT it just doesn't seem to fit F-bodies. To me they just belong on 'Vettes and Cobras.
So since the OP said LS1 I'm going to go ahead and assume F-body and vote turbo.

I like that a lot of people, still in this day and age, hear a turbo on a camaro and think to themselves WTF was that? Whereas my sister can identify a car with a blower..
