Compared to AFR and Trickflow I would say no. It looks very competitive.

Well yes, compared to the PRC, Livernois, Patriot, TEA, ETP, etc ported GM castings it will be more expensive! GM is able to make castings less expensive because they pour hundreds of thousands at a time. The aftermarket companies don't pour quite as many, and have better castings with attractive features for racers that make these well worth the money! But no doubt, they are not for everyone.

Seriously trickflow and AFR have such an amazing name in the aftermarket game that your heads really need to outperform those competitors to have people buy your product over theirs at nearly the same price. I hope you guys do it cause that would just rock!

you guys can argue over the price all you want, but the fact of the matter is that TSP has more than proven themselves capable of casting and CNC'ing an AWSOME cylinder head. just wait, when these hit the market and carve out a niche for themselves, you'll be beating off to all the dyno numbers people post with their stock bottom ends, these heads and 228 cams making more power from idle-5500 than anything else...

then when people start taking advantage of the 6-bolt design and thick deck, well...you can imagine what will happen then

Yeah you are totally right, it's not just the name. Call up any "REAL" aftermarket ls-x shops, and if they aren't trying to sell you a certain brand (cough, cough) the afr and trickflow castings outperform almost every brand and factory ported casting period. Dart and Edlebrock are good "budget" options. Basically no way anyone is going to choose a PRC head over AFR or trickflow at the same price. I would be MORE than happy in the $1300-$1600 range with a single conical spring per pair to give the new PRC casting a chance. Not really sure why PRC/TSP didn't try to develop a ls3/l92/ls7 next gen casting. Seems like the cathedral port aftermarket head sector is loaded with MANY competitive options. Best of luck

6 bolt standard. Others dont offer features these heads have. But will wait for more info before I decide to replace my LS6 2.5 heads with.
