i would not buy them. slp makes horrible power. i put the slp 525hp heads and cam package on his 2001 ss camaro 6speed. also put slp headers, dual/dual exhaust, lid, bellows, sheet metal ram air intake. he went and got it dyno tuned....it only put down 416hp to the wheels.

Go with some PRC heads instead. What is your budget?

if you can get them for cheap then pick them up...SLP makes some very nice quality products for our cars.....thats why GM sent the cars to get modified to them instead of somewhere else....it all really depends on the price you can get them for....

Well, given the 'normal' drivetrain losses and other factors involved during the dyno readings (tune, temp, humidity, etc) - that's actually pretty close to the 525 hp figure at the engine............................

i called slp today and he told me that those heads flow about the same as 243's wouldnt it be better to buy 243 and them get those ported some day?? or buy the prc's?? even tho i can prolly get these heads preety cheap 300bux or something and they are brand new never used w/springs..... if i pick up 15rwhp i think the 300 would be worth it but if it doesnt pick up jack then why waste my money.....

do you still have the stock cam? if so, get a cam before heads or do them both at the same time. PRCs are your best bet

Yes. For the price, you would be crazy not to buy them. Everyone is a critic when it's YOUR money. Are they the best heads? No. Are they $2500? No. Of all of the people that have posted, only one has heads that may be better.

15 HP for $300 = $20/HP which is f-ing cheap (if you only get 15). And cheap enough to upgrade later, if you even need to. Put the other $2200 into tires and suspension and I would bet you are way quicker than your car would be with AFR's.

A lot of other expenses involved in doing a head swap. Do it once and do it right. Don't spend $ twice. Avoid the SLP heads. I'd do them if they were free.
