Hey Guys I Have A 98 Camaro. I Know A Guy Thats Selling Some 853's Ported And Polished By A Shop Out Of Dallas Just Wondering If Theres Heads Would Be Worth Putting On The Car. My Mods Are Pascetters, Lid , Magnaflow With A Cut Out, Ls6 Intake,mti Tb And Have A Ms4 On The Way So Let Me Know What U Guys Think

depends on how much they costs. int and exhuast is ported? is the intake smooth or does it have little ripples on the runners?.. are they fully assembled?..if so , what type of springs are on them....

IMO fully assembled with some expensive springs like crane or comps' i would pay maybe 400. depending on how old the prings are.

Be very careful with the MS4 and ported heads. There's only a few heads that will clear p/v with that camshaft! The PRC LS6 heads, AFR 205s, TFS 215s, ET 215s are the first few that come to mind. The PRC LS6 heads sell for right around $1000 for the pair & come with our warranty & flow guarantee!!

I hear 853 heads can be ported pretty large, but you have to be very careful with the PTV clearance, either check it yourself, or do the math then check it yourself.

How does porting heads affect PTV clearence? I can see milling them but not porting

As in I don't know what size the valves are, and what the heads are milled to. I don't think the guy who is looking to buy them knows either.
