Default Stock heads to PRC 5.3 2.5's

I am putting the PRC 5.3 stage 2.5's on my car and I was just wondering what the difference in performance and compression is going to be (not looking for #s). Am I going to see much of a gain form my stock heads with the added compression. I have LT's, cam (233/239 - 602/605 113 LSA), 4000 stall so the added compression should work well with my combo. I hope. What are your thoughts?

Like Predator said, about 10.8:1 with the GM MLS gasket or about 11.0:1 with a .040" Cometic gasket. It should be a very fun combo!

Should be real nice. Gonna need a tune and I would say gears if you don't already have them.

You're definitely going to see a difference. I'm swapping out my CNC ported 241's for a pair of PRCs this winter.

that should be a nice comparison there, get it dynoed, swap heads, see gains after dynotune.

It should be done today I hope. It has and will have a new tune with the new heads. As for gears the FTI 4000 stall and a little shot will do!

Well, I am also swapping in a new cam at the same time I am doing the heads. My TR224 on a 112 is a great cam, but I think I can do better with some of the newer lobe designs. Unless of course I buy one of the new Edelbrock 2-piece timing covers - then I may just leave the cam in to get an idea of what each component netted me in power gains.

I gained 40rwhp from those heads in an A4...This will sound like ricer math but it shows what I gained,so here we go..
When I was just cammed with a tr224 and ls6 intake I put down 349rwhp..Tsp said I would gain about 35rw in an A4,so that would put me at about 384-385 rwhp,So I called Ron at Vengeance and he said the ported fast 90/90 would yeild about 27rwhp,So I added it when it was said and done I put down 417rwhp 407 rwt corrected(uncorrected it was 424rw) with those heads tr224 cam and a ported 90/90 So if the 90/90 gave 27rwhp like Ron said then the heads gave 40rwhp..Thats better than the 35 that TSP told me...

Ive since stepped up to a cam similar to the size to what you have and it specs out at 232/238 6xx 6xx 111+2(xfi lobes) and now put down 435rwhp 407 rwt..Hope this helps you out

The car is untuned at the moment due to me destroying the exhaust when I dropped the car off. I have half assed it so that I can drive the car for now. I am ordering new exhaust this week and then we are going to tune the car. As for now the car has exhaust leaks all the way back but it is still running decent. If I am in second gear and get in it slowly where it does not spin and hold it about half throttle then when it reaches about 45-50 it starts spinning. It must start to come alive at that given RPM. I will give another update when it gets tuned. And it does have some decent tires on it, ZO6 wheels with Goodyear F1's.
