Default melling 295 pump and double roller who is running one?

Who is running a melling 295 with double roller chain. I had a 296 melling that was going to use but its a pain to use double roller with it and dont feel like grinding and mucking on things.

So figure just go with the melling 295. Also do the 295s have the high and low pressure springs?

I have the 295 with a double roller chain and I had to grind a bit even with the shims that came with the timing chain. There were no extra springs with the pump to change the pressure.

Hmm ok ..still had to grind a bit.Screw it then. go with a ported ls6 pump not sure if want a shimmed ls6 ported pump. Shouldn't have to grind nothing for the ls6 pump.

Went with the slp pump and double roller combo. Pretty sure the slp is melling 296 but with case mofidied to be a bolt on. It might be a 295 also.

I think the SLP is just LS1, or what people call the LS6, ported with a different spring.

#295 pump should go right on, with minimul grinding around pick tube area. The new style melling oil pumps (there all black in color) have an impression casted into the both pumps in the spot already for added clearance for aftermarket dbl roller t/c setups, but sometimes you have to touch that area up a bit.
