Default Oil pressure/pump

Hey
I have a 2002 TA, cam, etc. in sig., did not mess with oil pump because I read the 2001's and 2002's got a better oil pump, is this correct and sometimes at idle the needle bounces but it stays right around 40, normal driving is about 50 and getting on it looks like it's about 55, all according to the dash gauge.
Is all this the way it should be and my pump good?

Thanks in advance

I have a 2000 cammed ss with 25k miles.. When at temp, I have 40 psi at idle, cruise is 45-50 and about 60 when I run it up. So yeah, sounds about normal
