Anyone have dyno plot of 224 vs. 230 cam?
I am thinking about changing to a larger cam and was wondering how much the larger cam would hurt everyday driveability. Right now I have a comp 224/222 .567 on a 112. I am thinking of changing to the TR230/227. It's an M6 with stock rear gears and ported heads.
The cam I have now makes pretty broad power and I can lug the motor around town or short shift. Example, making a turn a light, leave it in 3rd. the revs may drop to 1000rpm but easily accelerates from there.
Just wondering how much bottom end I will loose. I don't drag race, but I do like to go to open track (road course) events occasionally. I wondering if smaller cam will work better on the road course also or if going to a bigger cam won't cost me too much down low.
Basically I want to see a dyno plot comparison between a cam similar to mine and a 230.
