Cam suggestion for 5.3L truck motor in third gen camaro I bought a low mile 5.3L LM7 to put in my 87 camaro so now I'm looking at getting more power out of it. I'm swapping the truck intake for a LS6 intake with camaro throttle body and fuel injectors. Also I'm using the Hawks Stainless long tube headers. Would a TR 224/224 on a 112 be a good cam for this motor?
If not then some suggestions would be great. This car is a weekend only car, just a toy so I'm not too concerned with driving manners. I will be running a T-56 with a 4.10 gear. If I'm not mistaken my 87 camaro weighs less than my 01 so the 5.3L should give me great performance. Thoughts and opinions are appreciated.
