So...what is the different between Speed Inc.'s SI4 and Texas-Speed's 228R?(other than the LSA)

SI4 228/228 .588/.588 113
228R 228/228 .588/.588 112 or 114

I would GUESS the lobes. The 228r is on XE-R/XE-R Comp lobes. Not sure on the SI cam.

The current 228r is definately XER lobes. If you'd like to checkout some engine dyno data from our cam swap testing give us a call. We can fax you over tons of dyno results!!

seems like it was answered to me. id check to see what lobes the SI4 has, and see if they are going to provide the results your looking for in the cam. I do not want to be biased, but I can say my 228r @ 114 netted me 393rwhp with stock heads through an auto

From what i can gather they are the same cam on Compcam XER lobes just different LSAs

Agreed with above.. can't imagine 2 different lobe designs having identical lifts at the same duration.
