Default Is it worth the effort?

I have a forged LS6 engine with TFS 215cc heads (milled .030), ported TB, custom induction system, LS6 intake, .595/.605 lift 244 duration 111 LSA cam, LS7 lifters, Yella Terra UL rockers, equal length custom 1 5/8 headers.

Currently I don't know exactly what it puts down. Before, it dynoed 417 RWHP with CNC 6.0 Patriot truck heads...but now it has the TFS 215cc heads and roller rockers...so I'd imagine I'm making another 20-25 HP.

My question is this: Should I throw a FAST 90/90 and a new set of custom equal length headers 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 to make even more power? If I go through all the expense of a new intake & TB and the work involved in creating a new set of headers, I'd like to know the payoff will be at least another 25-30 HP. If not, I may draw the line here.

sounds like it should make a good bit more power but you can always add some giggle juice..

I'm running the LS6 now...but I think the FAST 90/90 with a better & bigger set of headers will make it sing above 5500RPM. Currently, it is set for 7000 RPM fuel cutout and I bang it off the limiter often. Maybe with the improvents I'm considering, I'll set the limiter a touch higher. I guess it will depend on dyno results. If it stops making power at 6700 (for example)...no need to spin the motor past 7000 RPM. I'd like to make a solid 450 to the wheels. Is that possible?

I agree, with what your spinning you will really pick up with a FAST and 1 5/8 headers are for Mustangs

What exactly is involved in porting a FAST 92? Aren't they already trick enough or does the flashing and mold lines need a little smoothing...or is a more substantial amount of material removed in strategic areas? Is this something a person can do on his own if given the proper instruction?

I have been told the fast really helps when you get to about 420 to 430 hp. Dunno much more other than there isnt much porting to be done and id have it done by a pro... but thats just me... its to expensive to wing it.
