Default replacing lifter...

can you pull the head off in a f-body with out dropping the motor? i have heard you can do it in the car but i have also heard you gotta pull the motor out i gotta replace the very front passenger side lifter! Need help guys thanks

I have seen it done with the motor not dropped but that was on like musclecar tv or something your best bet would be to get a haynes manual and follow it because the book tells you different ways to do a job based on what resources/tools you have step by step

any more imputes guys??? if i can pull the head off the car without dropping the motor im gonna work on it tonight but no point if i gotta drop the motor...

I have never done it but I have seen the motor in f-bodys with everything pulled out.

Yes you can easily pull the heads with the motor in the car.

I have arp head studs and i have pulled my heads with the engine in the car.

well about an hour later i got the intake manifold off, rockers and rocker tray off, water pump off, now all i got left is to get the head off! just thought i would take a break lol
