which direction does it go into the back of the block? oring end first or no?

O-Ring towards the cover. I remember cause I always use my nail to try and pull it out a lil and hook it to pull it out. Also the cover is supposed to push it to the exact depth and the o-ring just seats as you get it in there when you do this.
