Default Stock Heads what Lift?

I'm goin to have a custom cam ground by TPS and since I dont plan on swapping heads out, I wanted to stay on the low lift side of things. I really like the X1 but the lift is not something I want to worry bout later. The TR 230 is nice but I dont like the lack of exhaust. Im goin to run all bolt ons, with some juice later. So how do you think these specs look for stock heads and bolt ons Cam, 230/227 .575/.569 112 LSA. Any comments or suggestions?

that cam is pretty much the same specs as the TR230 but with a little more exhaust is it not?

I think to answer your question someone has to chime in and provide typical stock head flow numbers (with intake). That will tell you what kind of lift you need. As for duration, I'd probably try to keep it close to an equal intake/exhaust since you plan on running nitrous. You might actually be able to do an exhaust-biased cam...it will hurt your NA power a bit, but will probably give you more power on the gas.

Try to keep the duration up (230 is probably a good round number to start at), since you'll need the additional duration to make up for the lower flow through stock heads (power is determined by the total volume you can cram into the cylinder...lower flow requires more time...read: duration to fill the same amount).

So who has some stock head flow #s with intake? Someone help out please. The cam is very similar to the TR230 with more exhaust, thats the whole idea. I was considering a standard split but since I'm not goin to be spraying allday might as well make it a trade off for daily driving.

Ok I found some flow #s with the stock heads and the LS1 intake on. And then some.

Heres some more data I think C. Enders collected it orginally.

With Manifolds:

** Latest revision.

This data also shows LS1 ports NOT STALLING at .500 lift

My TEA were flowed on a different bench, but the stall points for my TEA's are VERY LOW, LOWER than STOCK heads with the intake in place. TEA insisted I got the exact same heads as very one else.

Ok so with all bolt ons and my custom 230/227 what lift should I go with considering the flow above? What lift would optimize my setup? Should I go with a bigger lift like MTI's cams or lower like TR's cams? What lift should I look for? Where are the cam gurus tonite??? What lobes do I need to ask for?
