melling oil pump question

Default melling oil pump question

i bought a new new oil pump for my car and i think i bought the wrong one, i got a melling m295 and i wanted the m10295, with the incressed pressure. can i just shim the pressure relief spring and have the same as the m10295 or is something else different?

You should have bought the #10296 pump. It's the volume that you need, both pumps put out plenty off pressure. The #10295 pump is stock just with more pressure, #10296 is High volume/high pressure.
