Default Boost on a sleeved motor??

Thinking of building a big bore boosted motor, wondering if it's a good idea.

Either 4.1" bore at 10.5:1 compression and ~6.5 psi (see: Magnacharger on a Z06, which has been proven to work just fine) -or- 4.1" bore at ~9.5-10:1 and 10 psi of intercooled boost.

Anyone have any input here?? I am thinking that boost couldn't be any harder on the bottom end than nitrous would be, and there are people spraying on big bore motors (right??).
