Default How much should I mill my heads with MS4+Flycuts?

Hey guys Im swaping heads and this is the perfect time to have them milled.

Im running the MS4. with .080 thousandths flycuts. the cam it self clears stock.

I want to bump my compression to 11:1 How much should I mill and keep the stock gaskets, also factoring in the flycuts are probally 1cc each

If you have .080" flycuts, you just gave yourself an extra .080" to use if you're staying with stock valves and stock gaskets.

Mill depends on what heads you have now. 61cc gives you an 11.1:1 SCR. For every cc you take off the head, you'll need to mill .006".

Running a thinner gasket will give you better quench than milling.

What heads?

I'm running 5.3L heads milled to 59cc with a .040" gasket for a compression ratio of about 11.7:1. With the MS4 cam and flycut pistons I have safe clearances.

Im running 243 ls6 heads, Id prefer to use stock gaskets due to their price. MS4 cam stock valves.

Heres a picture of what my flycuts look like-

How many cc's do the flycuts add? The ls6 heads are 64cc.

nuthin is wrong with the gasket itself i was under the impression anytime a very large cam like that was being used or compression is greater than stock mls gaskets should be used

Running a thinner gasket will improve quench(thus reducing possibility of predetonation) as opposed to milling the same. Plus milling reduces flow slightly.
